Famous names at Miami

I have always been impressed with the speakers and lecture series that Miami hosts. These lectures and speeches are a great educational opportunity for the students. The concerts are favorites of the students, too. Miami really does a neat job of picking guests who are educational, fun, interesting and popular. The best part is many of these lecture series and concerts are free of charge. What better way to spend a Friday evening than hanging out with Jay Leno, Bill Cosby, 50 Cent or Girl Talk?!?

On Monday, the lecture series guest will be Dan Rather. Rather, who has covered nearly every major event in the world in the past 50 years, remains an engaging speaker and can captivate an audience. Some students will attend with their classes and others will come on their own. Either way, Monday night will be a great opportunity for the Miami family to listen to “the hardest working man in broadcast journalism”.
